TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND REFUND AND RETURN POLICIES
1. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR WEBSITE
By using our website, you fully accept these Terms of our rental. Completing a reservation with CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com means that you, the renter, have agreed to and accepted all the terms of our site, therefore, all information must be fully read and understood.
We have the right to modify these terms at any time.
Access to our site is available 24 hours a day. In rare cases, the search engine may be temporarily unavailable due to system maintenance or upgrade. In that case, you can contact us by email or by phone.
CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com is committed to ensuring that the information you provide when making a reservation is secure.
When making a reservation, your personal data is required for the reservation process (first name, last name, telephone number, credit card details, email address, home address, country of origin, postal code, and date of birth). By submitting the reservation, you agree to the use of this information to complete your reservation.
The client agrees not to allow anyone to drive the vehicle beyond the people who appear as drivers in the signed Rental Agreement. In any other case, you will be responsible for damage to the vehicle or to third parties, if any.
The rental day is calculated on the basis of 24 hours, with a grace period of 2 hours after the declared time of return or reception of the car. In case of delay in the return, more than 2 hours, another day of rent is charged. The company reserves the right -depending on availability- to provide a type of vehicle different from that of the original reservation with another similar or better class.
In order to provide you with the best possible service, as well as to update our services, after the expiration of your rental, we send evaluation forms. All customer feedback and experiences help us improve.
2. DRIVER’S LICENSE
The driver must have a license for at least one year. Your driver’s license can be Dominican or from any country.
3. RECEIPT / RETURN
The delivery and return of vehicles are carried out at the airport or airports were chosen in your reservation or at any other place agreed with the agency.
4. GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITATIONS
Transportation outside of the Dominican Republic is not permitted.
5. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Upon receiving the car it is necessary to present a Driver’s License, Passport or Identity Card, and a valid Credit or Debit Card. Please note that the tenant’s name must be the same on all required documents.
6. AGE OF THE DRIVER
The renter and the driver must be over 21 years of age. The driver must have a license for at least one year.
7. MINIMUM RENT
The minimum rental at CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com is 3 days, which is defined as 72 hours of rental.
8. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES POLICY
Refunds can be made in case of cancellation of the reservation three (3) days before it occurs. If the vehicle is returned before the scheduled date and time, no refund will be made.
9. RETURN OF THE VEHICLE
The lessee must return the vehicle at the agreed place and date as specified in the Rental Agreement. If the vehicle is returned to a different location there is an additional cost and it is done by arrangement.
10. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR RENTING A VEHICLE
The client receives the rental vehicle described in the Lease Agreement in perfect working order, with all its documentation, tires, tools, and accessories, and undertakes to take care of them. In addition, clients must respect and drive in accordance with the traffic law that applies in the Dominican Republic. By signing the Lease Agreement, clients accept the rental terms and conditions defined by CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com.
In the event of an accident, the lessee is obliged to immediately inform CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com and to immediately notify the Traffic Police (Intrant) and the Insurance Company.
11. METHODS OF PAYMENT
We accept payments with credit cards, debit cards (Visa and Mastercard, Maestro, Masterpass), PayPal, cash, and deposit in the bank with the reason in the name of the tenant:
12. SPECIAL EQUIPMENT AND ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Child seats are available upon request at no additional cost, as well as an Internet System upon request, at an additional charge per day, which you can reserve together with the vehicle on our reservations page. Note: Seating standards may differ in other countries.
13. SMOKING INSIDE THE VEHICLE
Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles, under a penalty of a US$200 fine.
14. ANIMALS AND PETS
Animals and pets are not allowed inside our cars. The only way to be allowed is by using special boxes, like those used on airplanes.
15. LOST KEYS/ROAD ASSISTANCE
In case of loss of a key, the renter must immediately inform CJCRentCarPuntaCana.com to obtain a replacement key. If you are outside of the Punta Cana area, you may have an additional charge.
16. FINES AND INFRINGEMENTS
The Administrative Penalties derived from traffic offenses committed during the vehicle rental period are fully borne by the lessee and must be immediately reported to the company.
17. USE OF THE VEHICLE BY THE LESSEE
The client expressly accepts the following:
• Keep the vehicle in good condition
• Respect the traffic laws of the Dominican Republic.
• Do not violate traffic lights or STOP signs.
• Respect the speed limits
• Do not drive off-road or on a dirt road.
• Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or any other substance.
• Do not use the vehicle to tow another vehicle.
• Do not carry out activities with the purpose of subletting the vehicle.
• Do not use the vehicle to participate in competitions or sports, whether formal or informal.
• Close the vehicle correctly, in a suitable and safe place when it is not in use.
• Not provide as collateral, pledge, sell, lease, assign, mortgage, lend or even change or convert any part of the vehicle.
• Stop the vehicle immediately in case of the slightest external or internal indication of technical weakness.
